University of Colorado at Boulder Custom Bench

The business-engineering expansion at The University of Colorado Boulder is a transformative project that connects the Leeds School of Business to the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The expansion fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by creating a central hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, a redesigned business library, and an auditorium that will serve students, faculty, and local business leaders.

In collaboration with landscape architect Civitas, we designed a custom 74-foot tiered bench that serves as a central gathering point for students. With its westward orientation the bench capitalizes on views of the iconic Flatirons. This bench helps tie the outdoor spaces together and creates a versatile spot for socializing, studying, and informal meetings, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetic forms.
